January, 2020, I made my someday today, and declared my new career as an author. I have always loved crafting with words; so much so as to be called, "a wizard of words".
My debut offering, the short story Rusty's Mountain, was spawned by a conversation I had with a business acquaintance where I shared I was unhappy in life; feeling there was something deeper, more meaningful, more authentic. He shared this analogy of spending your life climbing the mountain, and upon reaching the top, looking around only to see another mountain in the distance as the one you really want to be on. Rusty's Mountain is a metaphor for my journey of self-discovery, off my old mountain, questing for my new.
After completing the story, a question about one of the characters came to mind: "How does one become a troll under the bridge anyway?" The answer revealed Oliver, and his tale opened the flood gates on an epic fantasy novel centered in the world of Rusty's Mountain. Thus, Messengers of the First Order of Love is channeling. Stay tuned as I complete this massive undertaking to get the wonder-full tale out to you.
